Job Description
Company Overview "We're seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused IT Support Specialist (Tier 1) to join our Sarasota-based team. You'll provide both phone and hands-on technical support for Windows, Office, and workstation issues, with opportunities to expand into more advanced technical work This role is crucial in ensuring seamless computer operations, allowing end users to perform their business tasks efficiently. Key Responsibilities Call taker- take calls and enter client name and persons name into ticket system to dispatch out to technical staff in a professional and courteous manner. Document user details, including name, department, contact information, and the nature of the issue. Build rapport with end users and gather relevant problem details. Prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, escalating complex problems when necessary. Track and document the entire resolution process, including troubleshooting steps and outcomes in ticket system. Utilize diagnostic tools to aid in problem resolution. Research solutions via software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQs. Perform hands-on support, including software installation, hardware setup, system configuration, and data backup. Install and maintain antivirus software. Conduct routine maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals. Test solutions to ensure issues are fully resolved. Follow up with users post-resolution to confirm satisfaction. Develop and maintain end-user documentation, including FAQs and help sheets. Stay updated on company-supported software and hardware. Requirements We are seeking a staff member to be at work, promptly and ready to take calls at 8:30Am to 5:30PM Monday thru Friday. The selected person will need to answer calls from current clients, identify the nature of the call and enter their request into a ticket system. This is not a sales position; we are answering calls related to current customer support requests. Secondary as time allow the applicant would become familiar with processes and help support other roles of the company.
