Job Description

Position Summary:
We are looking for someone with experience in hospitality that is looking to utilize those skills in a new, exciting, and engaging way. In this position you will be responsible for answering all support requests quickly and efficiently, assessing and troubleshooting issues quickly, determining if an issue should be escalated to a higher support tier, effectively communicating internally and externally to bring resolution. We are looking for someone who can be in our downtown Sarasota, FL office up to 5 days a week. There is a possibility for light travel in this position. The Tier 1 Support Technician will report to the Support Desk Lead.
Responsibilities:
A Tier 1 Support Technician is responsible for providing phone and email support to clients on a variety of issues and working in fast paced team environment to provide exceptional customer service to our clients. The technician will be responsible for identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems related to POS (Point of Sale) and Network support for multiple restaurant clients. Technician is also responsible for responding timely to telephone calls, electronic, and personnel requests for technical and application support, tracking and monitoring the problem to ensure a timely resolution, and following proper escalation procedures. Other responsibilities may include special POS programming as assigned or internal knowledge base documentation. Schedules may vary depending on needs.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in Customer Support required. Ideally at least 1-2 years of prior experience.
  • Basic technical network, hardware, and software understanding required.
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting issues required.
  • Prior experience with PAR POS or Tabit POS preferred. Ability to learn multiple software applications.
  • Prior Zendesk or other ticketing software experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in hospitality or customer service preferred; Front of house or Restaurant manager experience preferred.
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) and ability to interface with senior executives and client owners.
  • Passion for learning about new systems and emerging technologies
  • Experienced and adept at utilizing Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong time management skills required with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, maintains a high level of accuracy, and a desire to grow within our company is a must.

$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
