We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented IT Help Desk Technician to provide technical support, focusing on hardware troubleshooting and database management. In this hybrid role, the ideal candidate will assist end-users with hardware, software, and network issues, leveraging Microsoft 365 tools and performing basic SQL queries to manage databases and generate reports. This role provides an excellent opportunity for growth in both IT support and database management skills, ideal for someone eager to advance their IT career.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Understanding how to utilize Microsoft 365 applications and features. Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals. Manage user accounts and permissions in various systems. Utilize SQL to query databases, generate reports, and assist with data management tasks. Maintain accurate inventory of all company hardware and equipment. Document and track issues using a ticketing system. Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues. Provide training and support to end-users on various software applications.
Assembling computer hardware:
Installing components such as motherboards, processors, RAM, graphic cards, and storage devices into computer cases. Implement hardware security measures such as device encryption and security patches. Conduct routine software maintenance, including updates and firmware upgrades.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Basic knowledge of SQL and experience with database management. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with Windows 11 operating systems and Office 365 applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with help desk ticketing systems. Certifications such as CompTIA Data +, Network+, or equivalent. Knowledge of the Medicare Industry.
