Job Description
IT Support Technician II (Manufacturing) Overview We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician II to provide advanced desktop and endpoint support within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a highly technical professional capable of resolving complex issues, coordinating across multiple IT teams, and supporting critical production and business operations. Candidates must have prior experience supporting manufacturing environments and Zebra scanning and printing technologies. Required Qualifications 4-6 years of desktop support experience in an enterprise environment. Mandatory manufacturing IT support experience. Strong experience supporting Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environments. Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Zebra scanners and Zebra printers. Experience supporting hardware, software, networking, and endpoint technologies. Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide advanced desktop support for Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and enterprise applications. Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, and peripheral issues. Support manufacturing operations through timely troubleshooting of production and end-user technology issues. Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain Zebra scanners, mobile devices, and label printers supporting inventory, warehouse, and manufacturing operations. Monitor and manage assigned ticket queues, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests. Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and coordinate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams as needed. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and issue ownership. Create and update technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge base articles. Identify recurring technical issues and recommend process improvements and long-term solutions. Support desktop deployments, upgrades, hardware refreshes, and endpoint lifecycle management. Maintain accurate ticket documentation and update support systems in a timely manner. Develop productive working relationships with business users, IT peers, and leadership teams. Adhere to established IT support processes, standards, and corporate policies. Achieve established ticket volume, response, and resolution objectives. Preferred Skills Experience supporting warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing floor technologies. Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, SCCM, Intune, or other endpoint management tools. Knowledge of network troubleshooting, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and peripheral hardware. Experience contributing to process improvement initiatives and technical documentation development.
