Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic IT team as a System Administrator/Helpdesk Support specialist, where your expertise will drive the stability, security, and efficiency of our technology infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge systems, support end-users, and implement innovative solutions that empower our organization to excel. Your proactive approach and technical prowess will ensure seamless system operations, robust security measures, and exceptional support for all users. Duties Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory management, system tuning, and configuration management to optimize performance and security. Oversee server backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and rapid restoration in case of failures. Support virtualization platforms such as VMware and ESXi, implementing server virtualization strategies to improve resource utilization. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across diverse systems, including RAID controller configurations, system architecture, and storage management. Develop automation scripts using Bash, Shell Scripting, PowerShell, or other scripting languages to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency. Implement and support network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS configurations, load balancing, and information security protocols to safeguard organizational data. Collaborate on solution architecture design for IT infrastructure projects utilizing microservices architectures like Kubernetes and RESTful APIs to ensure scalable and resilient systems support. Requirements Proven experience in system administration with a focus on Windows Server administration, UNIX/Linux environments, or similar operating systems. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components including computer networking (TCP/IP, DHCP), firewalls, VPNs, DNS management, and load balancing techniques. Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V; familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure is a plus. Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, PowerShell; experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Git is desirable. Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server; understanding of database backup/recovery procedures is essential. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to system architecture, storage management (RAID controllers), performance tuning, and system troubleshooting. Knowledge of software implementation processes including SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), SDLC tools like Jenkins or Git for version control. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to support users effectively across diverse technical environments. Pay:
$25.60 - $30.83 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
