The Role We're seeking a Mac Logic Board Repair Specialist, someone with hands-on expertise in advanced circuit-level diagnostics and repair. This is not a general Mac repair position. You'll work on the most challenging cases: failed power delivery, liquid damage recovery, microsoldering, component-level diagnostics, and board-level troubleshooting. What You'll Do Diagnose complex board-level failures using advanced testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, thermal imaging, power supply analysis). Perform micro-soldering and component replacement on Mac logic boards, including BGA (ball grid array) work. Repair liquid-damaged boards with precision cleaning, corrosion removal, and component-level restoration. Analyze power delivery systems and repair failing voltage regulators, charging circuits, and power management ICs. Troubleshoot and repair GPU, CPU, and chipset-related failures at the component level. Work with schematics and board layouts to trace signal paths and identify root causes. Manage board-level repair workflows , from intake and testing through final QA and customer handoff. Mentor less experienced technicians on board repair techniques and best practices. Stay current with new Mac architectures , including Apple Silicon (M-series) logic boards. Maintain meticulous service records and detailed repair documentation for complex cases. Required Qualifications You must have demonstrated expertise in at least 3-5 of the following areas: Micro-soldering

• BGA rework, component-level repair, and solder joint quality assessment. Board diagnostics
• power delivery analysis, voltage regulation, signal integrity testing. Liquid damage recovery
• corrosion assessment, cleaning protocols, and component restoration. Schematic and board layout analysis
• ability to read schematics, trace circuits, and identify failure points. Surface mount component replacement
• resistor networks, capacitors, ICs, and other small discrete components. Power management repair
• charging circuits, voltage converters, PMICs, and power distribution. GPU/CPU-level troubleshooting
• including discrete GPU repairs on pre-M1 Macs. Advanced testing equipment
• oscilloscopes, multimeters, thermal imaging, ESR meters, power supplies. Mac hardware architecture knowledge
• deep understanding of Intel and Apple Silicon Mac systems. Experience with Mac models spanning multiple generations (Intel and M-series). Must-Have Attributes Advanced technical knowledge
• This is a specialist role; general IT or basic repair experience won't qualify. Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications Certification in electronics repair or formal microsoldering training. Experience with other logic board repairs (iPhones, iPads, gaming consoles, or industrial electronics). Hands-on experience with reflow ovens or hot air stations for controlled component rework. Portfolio or references from previous logic board repair work. General Mac repair experience, IT support background, or basic troubleshooting skills do not qualify. we mean true component-level work, not board replacement. Taking a dead Mac, narrowing it to a shorted rail or a failed IC, reading the schematic and boardview to trace the fault, then microsoldering the replacement part (cap, resistor, IC, or a reballed BGA) under a microscope. If you have actually done this, you know what diode mode, a short to ground, or pulling a U-chip with hot air means.
