A Technical Support Engineer or Analyst provides technical support as a part of an organization's information technology department, or assists customers with technical issues related to computer or technology products. Helps to maintain company computer and phone networks and troubleshoot problems Helps clients diagnose and solve computer or technology system problems.
50% desk / 50% shop floor Responsibilities Provide hands-on IT support for PCs, printers, scanners, networks, and other technology. Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user issues. Manage support tickets through ServiceNow. Assist with IT projects, upgrades, deployments, and technology rollouts. Maintain IT asset inventory and equipment records. Support printer maintenance and equipment disposal. Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and user experience. Occasionally travel to supported facilities in Altoona and Ames as needed, typically 15-30 minutes one way. Requirements 1+ year of IT experience preferred; recent graduates encouraged. Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and basic cybersecurity. Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. Experience with Microsoft Office and standard business applications. IT-related degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, PowerShell, Python, or VBA is a plus. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Must be comfortable working both in an office and manufacturing/shop-floor environment. Additional Requirements Metatarsal safety shoes required on Day 1. Business casual dress code. Must be comfortable using a John Deere Gator to travel around the facility. Occasional local travel to Altoona and Ames as needed. #
