Summary:
Information Technology Services ( ITS ) currently has one opening for an IT Information Security Engineer Level II position located in Moscow, ID. This position provides critical, frontline, hands-on support in vulnerability management, cyber risk analysis, and security assessments. This position is part of a team that tests, implements, deploys, maintains, reviews, and administers infrastructure hardware and software that is required to effectively manage the computer network defenses and resources. This position's team also works to actively remediate known risks, misconfigurations, and audit findings to enhance the cybersecurity of the State of Idaho. The selected individual must possess an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of Cybersecurity technologies as they will provide technical, operational, and project leadership as subject matter experts over the Cybersecurity Operations function in delivering 24/7/365 services. This position will undertake vulnerability and threat analysis, assist in action on known and imminent cyber threats, and maintain the overall effectiveness of the Idaho cyber operations by protecting, detecting and responding to cybersecurity threats both offensively and defensively.

The successful candidate will be required to pass multiple, comprehensive fingerprint-based background checks specific to the agencies ITS supports.
Example of Duties:
+ Manages, implements, operates, and maintains advanced cybersecurity systems + Participates in cybersecurity risk finding remediation efforts. + Evaluates and recommends solutions and mitigation strategies related to cybersecurity operations. + Undertakes security related scans, daily monitoring alerts, and reporting on cyber related threats and attacks. + Assists in the management of system and network access control. + Assists in cybersecurity configuration auditing for policy and compliance adherence.
Minimum Qualifications:
