Full-Time We need an On-Site Computer Networking Technician to manage, maintain, and repair all physical IT and networking equipment. You will be the main expert on-site for fixing broken hardware, setting up wired and wireless connections, and solving computer network problems quickly. Key Responsibilities Equipment Repair & Hardware Maintenance Diagnose and repair all company IT assets, including desktop computers, laptops, enterprise servers, and mobile devices. Replace faulty internal hardware components such as power supplies, motherboards, RAM, hard drives, and screen assemblies. Maintain and service peripheral equipment including network printers, scanners, security cameras, and VoIP phones. Track inventory of spare parts, broken units, and replacement equipment, managing RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations) with external vendors. Network Administration & Support Install, configure, and test physical network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Run, terminate, and test network cabling (CAT5e/CAT6, fiber optic patch cables) throughout the facility. Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues , port drops, and slow network speeds using hardware testers and command-line diagnostic tools. Ensure seamless workstation integration with core network environments, managing local IP configurations, DNS, and DHCP settings. System Security & Documentation Deploy and update operating systems, security patches, and endpoint antivirus software on all physical devices. Maintain precise logs of all equipment repairs, hardware swaps, network configurations, and active support tickets. Provide friendly on-site support and guidance to staff members regarding proper device care and network security practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills Education:
High school diploma required; an Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
2+ years of hands-on experience in computer hardware repair and network troubleshooting.
Certifications:
CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA certifications are a strong plus.
Technical Skills:
Deep knowledge of computer architecture and component-level repair. Proficiency with enterprise networking gear (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Aruba, etc.). Strong command of Windows, macOS, and Linux administration.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, crawl under desks, climb ladders, and work in tight IT telecom closets.
