This opportunity is available to an individual with excellent problem solving, time management and prioritization skills. He/she must be capable of working independently, as well in a group setting to resolve technical issues and provide exemplary customer service and support to a variety of clients in multiple industries. Helpdesk Responsibilities Verify monitored clients' daily backup logs. Monitor email and dashboard alerts for critical issues demanding attention. Review Health Check logs for possible issues or opportunities. Respond to technical support request from our clients, via phone and e-mail. Remotely troubleshoot customer desktop issues. Assist field technicians with any needed end-user support. Accurately document all issues and detail activities performed to provide resolution. Monitor the IT Helpdesk portal for tasks assigned, prioritize and respond quickly and effectively to requests received. Maintain parts inventory. Technical Responsibilities Perform hardware upgrades, repairs and install peripherals on PCs and laptops onsite in the suburbs as well as Chicago and Indiana. Company van is available for travel to the locations. Virus and Spyware removal. Remotely diagnose and repair problems at customer sites. Tear down and replace/repair computer devices at company office. Qualifications and Education Requirements Associates Degree and/or 1-2 years experience repairing PCs and providing remote support. Desktop support experience with troubleshooting desktop, laptop, printer issues related to hardware, software and connectivity in a Windows & Active Directory, MS Office environment. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interface at all levels. Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to handle multiple tasks and requests from various sources. Demonstrate time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift 70 lbs. Must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation and maintain auto insurance coverage. Candidate must submit resume with work history and professional references to be considered.
