We are seeking an IT Systems Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support and serve as a regular onsite IT presence for our clients. This is not an entry-level help desk position . We are looking for someone with practical IT experience who can independently handle common business technology support, user administration, workstation deployments, and day-to-day service requests. This position is 100% onsite, with approximately 3-4 days per week working at client locations and the remaining time at our Mundelein office or other client locations. Responsibilities Provide onsite and remote technical support for Windows PCs, mobile devices, printers, Microsoft 365, business applications, and other client technology. Deploy and configure new Windows PCs, install required applications, and migrate user profiles, files, settings, and peripherals. Configure and troubleshoot network printers using TCP/IP and Windows print servers, including proper static IP configuration. Onboard and offboard users in on-premises Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and third-party licensing portals such as Adobe. Perform routine Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration, including users, groups, permissions, licensing, passwords, MFA, Outlook, and OneDrive. Troubleshoot common network connectivity, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP issues. Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot client-specific software and hardware. Follow established deployment procedures and create or update SOPs and technical documentation as processes change. Create tickets for all work performed and take ownership of keeping tickets updated, accurately documenting work and time, communicating status, and closing completed tickets in a timely manner. Manage assigned work and ticket queues throughout the day, prioritize requests appropriately, and communicate when additional time or escalation is required. Work independently at client locations while representing Enhanced Networks professionally. Experience & Qualifications Prior professional hands-on IT support experience; MSP or IT consulting experience is preferred. Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and common business applications. Hands-on experience with PC deployments, user profile migrations, software installation, and hardware/peripheral setup. Experience administering users in Active Directory and Microsoft 365. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi, VPNs, network printers, and basic business networking. Experience with ticketing/service management systems and the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently work routine problems through resolution and recognize when escalation is appropriate. Experience supporting iPhone/iPad and Android devices; MDM experience is a plus. Excellent organization, documentation, communication, time-management, and customer-service skills. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly to client locations. Ability to successfully complete required background screening. Valid Illinois PERC or ability to obtain one.
