Q Center is looking for a Part-Time IT Technician to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY
The IT Technician (Level 1) is responsible for providing first-level technical support for Q Center's technology systems to ensure reliable and efficient daily operations. This role focuses on troubleshooting basic hardware, software, and network issues, supporting end users, and maintaining guest-facing systems such as Wi-Fi, POS, and workstation devices. The IT Technician works closely with the team to escalate complex issues and support ongoing system maintenance. Starting rate for this position is $24.00/hour. Education & Experience Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 0-2 years of IT support, help desk, or customer-facing technical experience Basic knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook) Familiarity with Active Directory (user account setup, password resets, permissions) Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi connectivity, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) Experience supporting POS systems, guest Wi-Fi, or hospitality systems is a plus Physical Requirements Flexible schedule; evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required Medium work - ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally and move IT equipment General Requirements Maintain a friendly, guest-focused, and service-oriented demeanor always Communicate clearly with associates and guests at all levels Listen, understand, and respond effectively to user issues and concerns Ability to multitask, prioritize, and respond quickly in a fast-paced hospitality environment Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Follow Q Center standards, policies, and safety procedures Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards Attend required meetings and training sessions Demonstrate initiative in identifying and resolving issues Perform other duties as assigned by management Fundamental Requirements Provide first-level technical support to associates and guests in a timely and courteous manner Maintain professional working relationships with all departments Respond to service requests, incidents, and support tickets Core Responsibilities Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices) Provide support for guest-facing technology, including Wi-Fi access and basic connectivity assistance Assist with point-of-sale (POS) systems and front desk systems as directed Set up and deploy workstations, peripherals, and user devices Perform password resets and basic account management in Active Directory or similar systems Escalate complex issues to the team or vendors as needed Assist with system updates, patches, and routine maintenance tasks Maintain and organize IT equipment inventory Support audio/visual equipment setup for meetings and events Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in the ticketing system Support & Operations Assist with onboarding/offboarding tasks (account setup, equipment provisioning) Ensure all work areas and IT equipment are clean, organized, and operational Follow established IT policies, procedures, and security practices Help monitor system performance and report issues to senior IT staff Support backup and recovery processes under supervision
