Full Job Description Description:
Babbitting Service Inc has an opportunity for a 'hands-on and onsite' candidate with 2+ years' experience to fill an IT Support Technician position at our corporate location. The onsite, in-house IT Support Technician will provide first-line technical assistance to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and escalating problems, when necessary, while delivering excellent customer service. Daily interaction includes responding to user inquiries through the ticketing system in a professional and timely manner. this role also involves diagnosing and resolving basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues, assisting with password resets, account setups, and access permissions, and providing users with guidance on best practices and basic troubleshooting steps. Work schedule is Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 4pm with occasional evening or weekend availability for urgent and critical issues. Position may require travel to other Plant locations.
Requirements:
Preferred candidates will have: A minimum of an associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent related experience. CompTIA A+ or similar certification preferred. Experience working with helpdesk ticketing systems. Exposure to Active Directory and remote support tools.
Other requirements:
Basic knowledge and understanding of Windows OS environment and familiarity with common office applications (MS 365). Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, WI-FI troubleshooting). Ability to Install, configure, and update operating systems and standard applications. Document all support requests and resolutions in the helpdesk system. Escalate complex issues to other team members when required. Maintain knowledge of company IT policies and security protocols.
