Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Seeking an organized, proactive Technical Coordinator to manage IT deployment activities, support operations, and cross-functional projects across our industrial refinery and mining sites. This role is the central coordination point between IT, operations, contractors, and vendors, ensuring technology initiatives are planned, communicated, and delivered on time. The ideal candidate blends hands-on IT knowledge with strong planning and communication skills, has a safety-focused mindset along with being comfortable in high-compliance industrial environments spanning office and plant-floor settings, has great attention to detail, integrity and confidentiality, and ability to manage competing priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Asset & Inventory Management:
Maintain database; oversee procurement of hardware/software; track deployments, returns, repairs, and disposals; conduct inventory audits.
Project & Deployment Coordination:
Plan and track hardware/software rollouts; coordinate logistics (site readiness, access, downtime) with operations, contractors, and vendors; monitor timelines and flag risks.
Support Operations & Escalation:
Coordinate escalations with the MSP; triage and track tickets; manage onboarding/offboarding (accounts, access, devices); maintain a repository of IT contracts and licenses.
Stakeholder & Vendor Liaison:
Serve as a contact for plant operations and maintenance teams; coordinate vendor/contractor visits per site safety requirements; communicate outages, changes, and milestones; support IT leadership with scheduling and reporting.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain deployment schedules, asset inventories, and procedural documentation; support change management; ensure compliance with IT policy, cybersecurity, safety, PPE, and TWIC requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required TWIC Card (or ability to obtain one before employment). 2-4 years of experience in working in an IT department performing the key responsibilities listed above. Familiarity with IT terminology. Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and track multiple concurrent activities to completion. Strong written/verbal communication and cross-team coordination skills. Willingness to work in industrial environments (heat, noise, PPE zones); ability to lift 10 lbs. Preferred Experience in manufacturing, refinery, mining, or heavy-industrial operations. Familiarity with IT Ticketing platforms, Meraki MDM, basic Microsoft 365 Administration, and SAP. Familiarity with managing and coordinating services with Verizon Global support.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Mix of office and industrial field environments (refinery, warehouse, docks, outdoor areas). PPE required in designated zones (hard hat, safety glasses, FR clothing, steel-toe boots). $25-$26/hr
