Band 2 - Desktop Technician - Need locals in
Massachusetts Location:
DartMouth, MA Provide day-to-day local/remote desktop support. Handle inbound calls, troubleshoot issues, and document resolutions in ticketing systems. Deliver break/fix support, fault diagnosis, and resolution for hardware/software/application issues. Support core operating systems and approved application suites.Ideal candidate:
2-3 years of Windows Desktop support experience . Key Responsibilities First/second-level contact and problem resolution. Collaborate with third-party vendors for complex AV issues. Maintain timely communication and ticket updates. Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows (XP-10), MS Office, Cisco Jabber, and other authorized apps. Basic Mac OS support for Apple users. Printer and hardware installation/troubleshooting. Preventive maintenance and remedial repairs for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Diagnose network connectivity and workstation issues.Broad IT exposure:
networks, servers, AV, smart devices, telecoms. Work flexibly in project-based environments. Minimum Qualifications & Skills Bachelor s in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent).Certifications:
CompTIA A+, MCP
(or higher) . Minimum 18 months IT experience .Skills:
Windows 7-10, Active Directory, GPOs, MS Office 365, hardware troubleshooting, enterprise AV solutions, helpdesk ticketing systems. Mobile device management (iOS/Android), encryption solutions, AD-based PC/laptop management. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet SLAs. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Adaptability in fast-changing environments.
