Desktop Support Technician - Contract to Hire Springfield, MA About the Role We need a Desktop Support Technician with solid hands-on experience and strong customer service skills for a healthcare environment in Springfield, MA. This is a contract-to-hire position requiring weekend availability and on-call coverage. Serious inquiries only. What You'll Be Doing Hands-on hardware support and break-fix work - swapping parts, troubleshooting issues, getting people back up and running Windows imaging and deployment of new laptops, desktops, and peripherals Onsite support at client locations throughout the facility Setting up new users with equipment and access Diagnosing connectivity issues, managing updates, and resolving performance problems Supporting specialized healthcare equipment including TeleNeuro carts and SOC systems Providing on-call support and responding to alerts as scheduled Password resets, software support, and general troubleshooting What You Need 2-3 years of hands-on IT support experience - hardware break-fix and Windows imaging Solid understanding of networking fundamentals Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users Ability to stay organized and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work weekends (first or second shift as scheduled) plus on-call rotation Reliable transportation for onsite support Nice to Have (But Not Required) Healthcare IT experience Familiarity with cloud implementations Experience with ticketing systems like Autotask The Details This is a contract-to-hire position with conversion to permanent employment based on performance. Schedule includes weekend shifts and on-call coverage. Healthcare experience is a plus but not required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
