View More Jobs IT Technical Engineer United States (On-site) We are seeking a talented and adaptable IT Technical Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team in Westford, MA. This role is integral to our mission-critical datacenter, which supports global software teams and on-site hardware development. As a key member of a small, collaborative team, you will be responsible for building, configuring, and installing Linux-based systems, as well as providing desktop environment support. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our lab and data center environments, and your ability to adapt to changing priorities is essential. Your responsibilities Build, configure, and install Linux-based systems for lab and data center deployment. Unbox, rack, stack, and cable equipment as needed. Install and configure Linux OS, create testbed files, and support regression test bed infrastructure. Troubleshoot failed tests, processes, and network/software/desktop environment issues. Apply knowledge of Linux, Windows, and scripting concepts (e.g., Shell, Python, Ansible, Perl) to resolve issues. Utilize virtual machines and containers (Docker) for efficient system management. Demonstrate knowledge of networking concepts and apply troubleshooting skills. Debug complex software and hardware issues, ensuring smooth system operation. Maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders. Occasionally lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Position is 40-50 hours per week Normal work hours are 8am - 5pm with occasional hours needed beyond that timeframe in order to address minor/major issues that come up needing our attention Your skills and experience Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and configure. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Ansible, Perl) for automation and system management. Understanding of virtual machines and containers (Docker) for efficient resource utilization. Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, including troubleshooting techniques. Experience with debugging and resolving complex software and hardware issues. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Physical fitness to lift and move equipment, as required. Flexibility to work extended hours when needed to address critical issues. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar IT engineering role is preferred. More information Some of our benefits in
