Service Desk Technician I Position Summary The Service Desk Technician I performs a wide variety of tasks including the provision of front line problem isolation and resolution services to Information Services' customers. In addition, this position is responsible for operation of all computer processors and peripheral devices, key entry activities, computer system backups, restart/recovery of system processes, archiving of system tapes and monitoring system and network performance. The most significant task that the Service Desk Technician I performs is providing technical user support through the Service Desk. Service Desk Technician I Position Requirements Education High school Diploma is required. Vocational degree in computer or systems operations is preferred. Experience Minimum of two years experience supporting Windows products, or a Bachelor's Degree in an IT field with coursework including support of Windows-based systems, in lieu of experience. Experience operating or supporting Windows products is required. Previous customer support experience highly desired. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Experience demonstrating good problem-solving and resolution skills necessary. Service Desk Technician I Benefits At TidalHealth, full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period, part-time employees working at least 36 hours per pay period and part-time employees working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
