The IT Asset Management & Deployment Specialist supports all phases of the technology asset lifecycle, from initial receipt and acquisition through deployment, maintenance, inventory management, and final disposal. This role coordinates technology deployments, maintains accurate asset records, provides customer support, and ensures a well-organized and secure warehouse environment. The ideal candidate has at least five years of desktop or computer support experience, along with experience in IT asset management and deployment. The candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, procedural compliance, and the ability to deliver professional and responsive customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the complete lifecycle of technology assets, including acquisition, receipt, deployment, maintenance, inventory management, and disposal. Serve as the first point of contact for technology purchase inquiries, order status, delivery schedules, employee onboarding and offboarding, and equipment returns. Coordinate technology deployments and schedule timely device deliveries to designated locations. Conduct new-hire orientations and best-practice workshops to support adoption and effective use of deployed technology. Maintain warehouse and storage areas, including staging and labeling bays and shelves. Respond to stakeholder inquiries and concerns accurately and promptly. Follow established procedures and guidelines for technology deployment and asset management. Maintain accurate records of incoming orders, asset receipts, partial vendor orders, and inventory updates. Troubleshoot and resolve order, warranty, and delivery issues in coordination with vendors, carriers, and internal teams. Coordinate physical inventory activities and technology audits. Prepare current inventory reports, including lost, stolen, damaged, and targeted asset reports. Monitor stock levels to ensure equipment is available for deployment. Develop and update internal knowledge articles, FAQs, and other support resources. Follow warehouse safety guidelines and ensure assets are organized and securely stored. Collaborate with other teams to coordinate projects, complete assigned tasks, and resolve asset management incidents. Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and empathy when working with stakeholders. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in asset management and IT deployment, preferably in an educational or large enterprise environment. Minimum of 5 years of desktop or computer support experience, including troubleshooting and routine maintenance of computers and peripheral equipment. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools, as well as database management. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow procedures and prepare reports with accurate metrics. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize requests professionally and empathetically. Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting Apple, HP, Lenovo, and Dell products. Experience in educational institutions or large enterprise IT environments. Experience coordinating technology deployments, warehouse operations, and physical inventory audits.
