Job Summary The Lab IT/OT Support Engineer will serve as the primary IT/OT support resource for laboratory and test equipment, bridging engineering, facilities, vendors, controls teams, and enterprise IT to minimize downtime and resolve issues end-to-end. Key Responsibilities Support laboratory test systems, HIL platforms, industrial equipment and specialized applications. Troubleshoot Windows, drivers, software, USB devices, PCs and data-transfer issues. Provide basic Allen-Bradley PLC and ladder logic troubleshooting. Support network connectivity, whitelisting, firewall and infrastructure-related issues. Coordinate with vendors, engineering teams and Plant IT through issue resolution. Document incidents, root causes, fixes and knowledge articles.
Skills and Qualifications:
Windows support, hardware/software troubleshooting and networking fundamentals. Experience in IT, OT, manufacturing, laboratory or engineering environments. Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, permissions and system administration. Ability to support legacy systems and non-standard environments. Strong problem-solving, vendor coordination and communication skills. Preferred Skills Allen-Bradley PLCs, ladder logic and industrial networking. HIL systems, test equipment, data acquisition systems and OT environments. Automotive, manufacturing or R&D laboratory experience. Desktop and workstation support, including legacy Windows Drivers, peripherals, and industrial PCs Basic networking and industrial equipment connectivity Hands-on-around equipment: checking cables, connecting interfaces, verifying networkconnections, and working directly with engineers and technicians
