Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for end users in a healthcare environment. This individual will be responsible for supporting desktop hardware, software applications, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment while ensuring a high level of customer service for clinical and administrative staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, experience supporting Microsoft technologies, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Provide Tier I/II desktop support for end users through onsite and remote assistance. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices. Install, configure, image, and deploy Windows-based workstations and laptops. Support Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other enterprise software. Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues including Wi-Fi, VPN, and printer connectivity problems. Perform workstation setup, relocation, upgrades, and hardware refresh activities. Support user onboarding and offboarding activities, including account setup, hardware deployment, and access requests. Maintain and support desktop hardware inventory and asset tracking processes. Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the organization's ticketing system. Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate infrastructure, networking, or application support teams as needed. Provide exceptional customer service while supporting physicians, clinicians, administrative staff, and other end users. Assist with maintaining a stable and secure computing environment within the healthcare organization. Required Qualifications 1-3+ years of desktop support, help desk, or IT support experience in an enterprise environment. Experience troubleshooting desktop hardware, software, operating systems, and peripheral devices. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 applications. Experience supporting laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices. Working knowledge of Active Directory, user account administration, and password resets. Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless connectivity. Experience working with ticketing systems to document and manage support requests. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting healthcare, hospital, or clinical environments. Experience with workstation imaging and deployment tools. Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or other endpoint management solutions. Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or equivalent are a plus. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
