Spot Repair Technical Specialist Headquartered in Southfield, MI, BASF's Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Spot Repair Technical Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong paint application background and the ability to solve complex online problems. This role involves working closely with various OEM customers and internal BASF departments to ensure the smooth operation of our technical systems and providing expert support to our customers. This role requires up to 50% travel to our customers in North America and will require you be available for on-call support as need to respond to customer issues. What you'll be doing: Provide onsite technical support at OEM assembly plants to train, solve and fix plant related repairs. Collaborate with other internal departments to support customer needs. Develop and implement technical solutions to improve system performance with new and existing products. Responsible for developing solutions for technology repair customer requirements. Train and support customer and field service teams on how to use technical systems and software. Document repair technical processes and procedures. OEM launch support. Supports engineering teams and lab teams on special projects. Field Service in plant coverage at OEM assembly plants when needed. If you have... High School diploma required along with 5 years relevant expertise. Strong technical paint application background ideal. Proven experience as a Technical Specialist or similar role. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills ideal.
