This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, Microsoft 365 services, networking, backups, and security-related systems across multiple automotive manufacturing locations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can independently troubleshoot complex issues, manage infrastructure projects from start to finish, and deliver reliable solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Primary Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2016 through 2025.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Entra ID fundamentals.
- Support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online administration.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VMware vSphere and vCenter environments.
- Support enterprise networking infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPN connectivity, and WAN communications.
- Install, configure, and support HPE and Dell server hardware.
- Monitor system performance, availability, backups, and capacity planning.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and authentication services.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure-related incidents through resolution.
- Participate in infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system diagrams.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party support providers when necessary.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required. Required Qualifications Experience
- 5 to 7 years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Experience troubleshooting and administering Windows-based environments.
- Ability to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and follow issues through completion. Technical Skills
- Active Directory administration.
- Microsoft Entra ID fundamentals.
- Exchange Online administration.
- LDAP and Windows domain services administration.
- Group Policy administration.
- DNS, DHCP, static IP assignment, and IP Address Management (IPAM).
- Windows 10 and Windows 11 administration.
- Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and newer versions.
- VMware vSphere and vCenter administration.
- HPE and Dell server deployment and configuration.
- Understanding LAN and WAN technologies.
- Knowledge of VPN technologies, including client VPN, site-to-site VPN, and mesh VPN architectures.
- Cisco Meraki administration.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow logical, step-by-step problem-solving procedures and document the steps taken. Education
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, and relevant work experience will be considered. Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding the OSI networking model.
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 network troubleshooting experience.
- Cisco Meraki SD-WAN and VPN environment experience.
- Veeam Backup & Replication experience.
- SQL Server administration, database creation, and database maintenance experience.
- Public DNS configuration and public domain management, including certificate enrollment and configuration.
- OT/IoT network setup, configuration, connectivity, or device integration experience.
- Freshservice ITSM or similar platform experience.
- Microsoft Azure administration experience.
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
