Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and highly skilled Information Technology Specialist to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of providing technical support to County employees and help ensure reliable operation of computer systems, software applications, network access, and related technology. Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge and experience in cybersecurity Duties Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems in response to reported incidents. Install, analyze, configure and upgrade operating systems and software. Monitor system performance with IT monitoring tools; analyze metrics to proactively identify issues and optimize system efficiency. Provide technical troubleshooting support for complex system issues related to servers, networks, APIs, or cloud infrastructure. Assist in instructing County staff in the use of standard business and administrative software, including Microsoft Office products, collaboration software, incident ticketing systems, and database management. Maintain, update, and administrate all IT assets to a central inventory database; perform physical inventory and maintain record management of all aforementioned assets and personnel. Engage in project management activities related to technology upgrades, system migrations, or new infrastructure deployments. Skills Problem solving skills used to diagnose and analyze hardware and/or software problems. Operating information systems tools, such as PCs, phones, laptops, remote support tools such as TeamViewer, VPN, and Remote Desktop Services. Installing and maintaining data processing equipment such as PCs, printers, scanners, laptops, Mobile Devices, displays and all other technology related hardware.. Verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with a variety of individuals. Knowledge of IT monitoring tools for performance tracking and incident detection. Solid foundation in computer science principles, operating systems architecture, and network fundamentals. Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues efficiently through technical support skills.
