Printer Support Technician Unique Opportunity...

Position Overview/ Qualifications:

Our Printer Support Technicians are tasked with technical support for external customers post installation and our internal project management team during the installation phase. Printer Support Technicians are required to work at customer locations within a three hour radius of our office as well as utilizing remote support tools.

Primary responsibilities include supporting:

Plastic Card Printers, Various Makes and Models utilized for ID Card and Bank Card production.

Secondary Responsibilities may include:

Specialized Card Production Software Applications Access Control and Video Surveillance Hardware Specialized Healthcare Computers Barcode Printers, Barcode Scanners Computers and Server RFID and Smart Card technologies Because of the wide variety of solutions we support, candidates must be willing and able to work in a very dynamic environment. Candidates should have minimum 2+ years' experience in a technical support role. Hands on technical experience in hardware troubleshooting and repair along with proficiency in navigating Windows environments. Understating of networking. Experience installing and supporting peripherals such as networking, printers, barcode scanners, etc. is needed. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential. Associates Degree in IT, Electronics or similar degrees from an accredited trade school or military will be considered. Clean driving record and criminal history is also a must for this position.

General Skill Set Required:

Strong organizational skills are required including use of Outlook and experience using service ticket systems. Ability to work as a team member Troubleshooting, analysis, problem solving, and mechanical aptitude are required. Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills are vital. Positive Attitude, Leadership, and Goal setting skills plus a willingness to learn new technologies is critical. Excellent verbal and written communications and attention to detail are critical to success. Good presentation skills, train customers on new equipment

Physical Skill Set Required:

Walk a ¼ mile in 10 minutes, field support technicians are typically required to walk around large customer sites. Lift 40lbs. easily and without issues. From on the ground to counter height. Be on your feet for at least 2 hours at a time. Walk a flight of stairs Retrieve items from the floor or plug in equipment Ability to distinguish colors
