Job Overview Custom Machine Works is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide expert phone and email support for our specialized industrial machinery brands, This role is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and operational issues, identifying replacement parts, and helping customers keep their equipment running efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong industrial equipment knowledge, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and can confidently guide customers through solutions. While customer interaction is a key part of the position, success in this role is driven by technical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and a passion for learning specialized equipment. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, servicing, or maintaining industrial machinery and equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and parts breakdowns Ability to diagnose machine issues and develop practical solutions Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work directly with customers Ability to manage multiple service requests and priorities Helpful Experience Industrial maintenance technician experience Field service technician experience Working knowledge of hydraulic systems and mechanical power transmission Electrical troubleshooting experience Pneumatic systems experience PLC or industrial controls familiarity Machine builder experience Press, automation, or custom machinery experience Experience preparing service quotes or identifying replacement parts What You'll Learn Teeco equipment Fentech equipment Hastings equipment Altena equipment Internal software systems Quote generation processes Service documentation procedures Product-specific controls and software support If you're a skilled problem solver with a passion for industrial machinery and troubleshooting, we'd love to hear from you.
