Position Summary:

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician I to provide technical support to end users and assist with the troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, configuration, and upgrade of computer hardware, software, and network-related systems. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to provide technical assistance through multiple support channels, including phone, email, online chat, remote support, and in-person assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first-level technical support to hospital staff and end users. Troubleshoot and resolve computer hardware, software, and basic network-related issues. Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade computer equipment. Provide technical assistance by phone, email, online chat, remotely, and in person. Create, update, and maintain accurate service tickets and technical documentation. Work within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and departmental procedures. Diagnose technical issues and identify appropriate solutions or escalate when necessary. Assist users with basic technical questions, system access, and computer-related issues. Provide basic technical training and guidance to end users when needed. Maintain a high level of customer service and professional communication. Follow established IT support, security, and documentation procedures.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Computer Systems, Information Technology, or a related field OR a minimum of 2 years of equivalent IT experience. Experience troubleshooting and resolving computer hardware, software, and network-related issues. Strong customer service, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to support users through:

Phone Online chat Remote support In-person assistance Microsoft Windows certification or willingness to obtain certification within the first 6 months. ?

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Call Center, Help Desk, or Service Desk experience. Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, configuring, and upgrading computer equipment. Experience documenting service tickets and working within established SLAs. Experience providing basic technical training to end users. Familiarity with common desktop operating systems, applications, and network troubleshooting.
