Position Summary The IT Assistant provides hands‑on technical support for our office, production floor, and delivery operations. You will keep computers, printers, and basic network systems running smoothly so our employees can design, build, and ship signs on time. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career who wants real‑world experience in a busy, manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Serve as the first point of contact for basic IT issues (passwords, logins, email, printers, software questions). Set up and maintain PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, label printers, and other equipment for office and shop employees. Help onboard new employees by setting up user accounts, email, and workstations; assist with disabling accounts for terminations. Perform routine updates on computers and software, including Windows and software updates. Assist with basic network support such as checking connections, Wi‑Fi access, and reporting issues to senior IT or vendors. Support commonly used applications like Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and the software used in our sign design and production areas (training provided). Assist in keeping an accurate inventory of IT assets such as computers, monitors, and other devices. Document common issues and solutions so the team can resolve problems faster over time. Escalate more complex problems to senior IT or outside vendors with clear notes on what you've already tried. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required; some college, technical training, or certifications in IT is a plus. 1+ year of experience in IT support, help desk, or a similar technical role (internship, part‑time, or school experience is acceptable). Basic understanding of Windows PCs, printers, and common software. Comfortable troubleshooting simple issues and asking for help when needed. Strong customer service mindset, patient, and able to explain technical steps in plain language. Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy production setting. Able to occasionally lift and move computer equipment (up to about 40 lbs) and work in both office and shop environments. Why You'll Like Working Here Starting pay of $18.00 per hour.
