The Specialist, IT will provide comprehensive technical support to IT system users throughout the Resort. They will respond to user inquiries, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and peripheral-related issues. They must ensure all IT services are delivered in accordance with the standards of operation, policies, and procedures. Key Duties & Responsibilities Install, configure, maintain, and perform minor repairs on computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment Monitor the daily performance, functionality, and integrity of computer systems to ensure reliable operation
Maintain accurate records of daily data communication activities, system installations, technical issues, troubleshooting actions, and other IT activities
Respond to user inquiries regarding IT hardware, software, applications, and systems functionality, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently with minimal disruption
Diagnose technical issues by reviewing technical manuals, consulting with users, and utilizing diagnostic tools
Escalate major hardware, software, network, or system issues, as well as defective equipment, to the appropriate vendors, technicians, or support providers
Consult with departments to identify technology requirements, recommending appropriate solutions for new systems, enhancements, and modifications
Prepare IT equipment for new employee use, including the proper installation of cabling, systems, applications, and related software
Develop user guides and training materials, and provide training to colleagues on proper use
Support the resort's systems function by following appropriate procedures to maintain their operating effectiveness, security, reliability, and integrity
Assist the IT leadership team with the administration, maintenance, and documentation of the Resort's IT infrastructure, including computer networks, telephone systems, and TV networks
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Manager, IT or other members of management Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements A minimum of 1 year of experience as an IT Technician or in a related role
Previous experience working within a hotel or resort environment is an advantage
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, peripherals, operating systems, and basic network troubleshooting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to users with varying levels of knowledge
Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
