Under the supervision of Information Technology Coordinator; this position provides basic computer operational and software assistance to users, resolves operational problems, performs preventative maintenance, and is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining desktop, laptop and mobile systems, as well as troubleshooting network connectivity, application security and other issues.Starting Salary Range:
$23.02- $25.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in performing hardware and software installation procedures Perform software configuration on stand-alone computers and laptops Provide support in diagnosing hardware and software issues and troubleshooting activities Lay cables and wires for networks and ensure that they are in good working order Assist in handling data migration duties Take user support requests and take measures to fulfill requests Assist in hardware and software inventory management Handle periodic maintenance of hardware and software Troubleshoot equipment such as printers and scanners and other peripherals Other duties as assigned. Physical/Environmental Demands & Requirements:
Work environment: The person in this position will generally work indoors in climate-controlled environment but occasionally will work in outdoor environment where they may not be protected from weather conditions. Will occasionally be required to remain in a stationary position for an extended period while performing administrative duties. Will frequently operate computer, keyboard, and other office equipment. Consistently needs to about inside building, outside to include uneven terrain, changes in elevation, and often change body position from and to standing, kneeling, sitting, and prone. Occasionally will need to visit/travel other YBGR locations within the state of Montana. The person in this position will constantly communicate with end users and vendors. Must be able to communicate accurate information and accurately understand information communicated by those individuals including non-technical users.
