About the OpportunityOur client is a growing cybersecurity consulting and managed services organization seeking a well-rounded IT and security professional who can operate across infrastructure, networking, cloud, security, and compliance environments.
This is not a traditional SOC Analyst role. Instead, we're seeking someone with a strong systems or networking background who understands how IT environments function as a whole and can apply security best practices across multiple client environments. The ideal candidate thrives in MSP-like environments, enjoys variety in their day-to-day work, and can effectively manage competing priorities.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and support client security environments across network, infrastructure, cloud, and endpoint technologiesAdminister and maintain firewall, network security, and access control solutionsConduct security assessments and assist with remediation planningSupport disaster recovery, backup validation, and incident response planning initiativesMonitor and validate backup systems and recovery processesAssist with vulnerability management and security hardening effortsParticipate in client onboarding activities, including occasional onsite security evaluationsSupport compliance initiatives including CMMC and broader GRC programsWork alongside engineering teams to support and enhance client security operationsHelp clients strengthen identity and access management programsParticipate in security reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement effortsStay current on emerging cybersecurity trends and technologiesNetwork SecurityFirewall administration (WatchGuard preferred)Experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Check Point, or similar technologiesNetwork segmentation and security best practicesVPN and remote access technologiesIdentity & Access ManagementCisco DuoOktaMicrosoft AuthenticatorMulti-factor authentication solutionsCloud TechnologiesAzure and/or AWS administrationExperience deploying or managing cloud workloadsKnowledge of cloud security best practicesHybrid infrastructure environmentsSecurity Tools & PlatformsEndpoint security platformsCheck Point HarmonyBarracuda SolutionsKnowBe4Vulnerability management toolsBackup and recovery solutions such as Commvault and BarracudaCompliance & Security FrameworksCMMCGRC programsSecurity controls and risk managementPhysical and administrative security controlsSecurity assessments and audit support
