Job Description
Keeping People Productive, One Problem at a Time A forgotten password. A laptop that will not connect. An application that suddenly stops working. A network issue minutes before an important meeting. For an IT Support Specialist, these are everyday challenges — and the goal is simple: solve them quickly, professionally, and with as little disruption as possible. We are looking for someone who can provide dependable technical support while making the experience easy for the people receiving it. Responsibilities Respond to technical support requests through helpdesk systems, email, phone, or other channels. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, and peripheral issues. Configure computers, applications, printers, devices, and other IT equipment. Set up user accounts, access permissions, devices, and software for new and existing employees. Assist employees with Microsoft Office, productivity tools, operating systems, and common workplace applications. Maintain and update IT support tickets, asset records, and technical documentation. Monitor recurring issues and identify opportunities to prevent them from happening again. Support employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective. Assist with software updates, system maintenance, backups, and basic security procedures. Coordinate with vendors or senior technical teams when an issue requires escalation. Help maintain a reliable and secure IT environment. Contribute to internal IT guides and documentation to make common technical issues easier to resolve. Skills & Background Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Previous experience in IT support, helpdesk, technical support, or a similar position. Good knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software, and basic networking. Familiarity with troubleshooting methodologies and IT service management practices. Understanding of user accounts, permissions, and basic IT security. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Good written and verbal communication. Ability to explain technical information to non-technical users. Strong sense of ownership and follow-through. Ability to prioritise issues according to urgency and business impact. More Than Technical Support The best IT support is not just about knowing how to fix a computer. It is about listening carefully, asking the right questions, staying calm when something goes wrong, and making sure the person on the other side feels supported throughout the process. If you are technically capable, patient with people, and enjoy finding solutions rather than simply passing problems along, this role may be a great fit.
