Job Description
Part-Time IT Support Specialist Fayetteville Academy - 4.6 Fayetteville, NC Job Details Part-time 4 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Computer science Computer Science Organizational skills Associate's degree Information Technology Full Job Description Fayetteville Academy | Fayetteville, NC Fayetteville Academy is looking for a part time IT Support Specialist who loves solving problems, enjoys working with people, and gets genuine satisfaction from turning "My computer isn't working" into "Wow, that was fast." This isn't a job where you'll spend all day staring at a ticket queue. You'll be part troubleshooter, part technology coach, part detective, and occasionally the person crawling under a desk looking for the cable someone swears they didn't unplug. You'll work directly with students, teachers, administrators, and staff, helping them use technology to teach, learn, communicate, and get their jobs done. What You'll Do Be the first line of defense. You'll troubleshoot everything from computers and printers to classroom displays, phones, Wi-Fi, software, and the occasional technology mystery that seems to defy the laws of physics. Keep classrooms running. Technology is an important part of how our teachers teach and our students learn. You'll help make sure classroom technology is ready to go and be there when it isn't. Set people up for success. You'll configure and deploy computers and other devices, install software, and help keep our technology environment secure and up to date. Solve problems, not just tickets. You'll investigate issues, identify root causes, document solutions, and follow problems through until they're actually resolved. Help people become more comfortable with technology. Sometimes the solution isn't fixing the computer. It's helping someone understand how to use it. You'll have opportunities to train and coach faculty, staff, and students. Support the bigger picture. You'll work alongside the Director of Technology on infrastructure, cybersecurity, device management, technology projects, and initiatives that continue to move the Academy forward. And yes, there will occasionally be a school performance, event, meeting, or other important occasion where technology absolutely, positively has to work. You'll help make sure it does. What We're Looking For We're not necessarily looking for someone who knows every technology in our environment on day one. We're looking for someone who knows how to figure things out.
