IT Support Technician (Weekend Shift)
Location:
Whitsett, NC 27377
Schedule:
Friday to Sunday, 11:00 AM to 12:00
AM Pay Rate:
$22.00/HrJob SummaryThe IT Support Technician serves as the primary technical point of contact for production operations, ensuring minimal disruption to daily activities and maintaining a stable IT environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system issues while providing exceptional customer support to end users. The technician will work closely with IT, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver timely and effective solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide desktop and technical support for laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and peripheral devices.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues.

Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and antivirus software.

Support and troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN, and connectivity issues.

Perform software installations, service restarts, task scheduling, and batch file creation.

Utilize diagnostic tools, Remote Desktop, Task Manager, Command Prompt, PowerShell, and Computer Management utilities to resolve technical issues.

Configure and support network and local printers.

Manage, track, and resolve incidents using a ticketing system.

Create, update, and close support tickets while maintaining accurate documentation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient support and continuous improvement of IT services.

Required Skills & QualificationsAssociate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

CompTIA A+ certification or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician certification preferred.1 to 3 years of experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, or Help Desk environments.

Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows operating systems and desktop applications.

Experience with Active Directory and user account administration.

Knowledge of networking concepts including LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and printer connectivity.

Experience using ticketing systems and remote support tools.

Soft SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Strong customer service orientation with patience and professionalism.

Effective problem-solving and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
