Join Our Team as an IT and Facilities Support Specialist Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear is seeking a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our team as an IT and Facilities Support Specialist in our downtown Wilmington, NC office. The IT and Facilities Support Specialist provides frontline technical support to end users, ensuring smooth operations of all IT systems and devices. This role focuses on day-to-day IT tasks, device management, and resolving user issues to enable seamless business operations. Additionally, they will assist with facilities administration and support. What You'll Do As our IT and Facilities Support Specialist, you will: Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets related to software, hardware, and network issues. Set up and configure new user accounts, devices, and workstations. Provide technical training for staff and onboarding support for new hires. Provide technical assistance for onsite and offsite IT meeting needs. Monitor and manage RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) dashboards for alerts and system performance. Investigate and resolve alerts from tools such as Firewall, EDR, and other Security Applications. Ensure timely updates and patches are applied across systems to maintain security. Track and manage IT hardware and software inventory, including distribution and retrieval. Perform routine network and system performance checks to ensure optimal operation. Assist with backup verification and diagnostics to ensure data security. Assist with facilities-related requests, including changing light bulbs, setting up meeting spaces, and escorting contractors (e.g., electricians, HVAC, or maintenance professionals) and other assigned tasks. Report facility issues and coordinate follow-up activities. Manage office supplies inventory and orders as needed. Manage mail and package delivery and receipt including receiving and sorting incoming mail and deliveries and check processing. Work closely with the Director of IT to provide updates on operational issues and system improvements. Document technical processes and provide reports on ticket resolution and system performance. Experience and Education High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance Skills & Qualifications Working knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Office and Windows Operating Systems Familiarity with IT monitoring tools and ticketing systems General working knowledge of home network equipment (routers, modems, Wi-Fi, etc.) General working knowledge of iOS mobile devices (iPad/iPhone) Excellent customer service and communications skills Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Preferred Qualifications Experience working for a non-profit or in the health care industry Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Google IT Support Professional, or similar Why Join Us?
