Job Description
Location:
Auburn, NH, onsite The Summer Intern - Process Documentation & Helpdesk Support assists with documenting internal processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures and provides light helpdesk support. This role partners with team members to gather information, improve documentation quality, and support day-to-day technology and operations needs. This position reports to the IT Operations Manager. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Assist in documenting internal processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Organize and update existing documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and usability. Provide light helpdesk support, including basic troubleshooting and end-user assistance. Collaborate with team members to gather information and validate process steps and documentation accuracy. Support ticket documentation and follow-through in accordance with IT service desk practices. Contribute to special projects as needed throughout the summer. Performs other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Skills & Abilities Strong written communication skills with attention to detail and an ability to produce clear, consistent documentation. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Interest in technology, operations, or business process improvement. Ability to work independently, ask thoughtful questions, and seek clarification when needed. Basic familiarity with computers and common productivity tools (e.g., email, documents, spreadsheets). Strong customer service mindset and professionalism when supporting end users. Education & Experience Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Information Technology, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Availability to work during the summer internship period with a reliable schedule. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to occasionally lift and transport moderately heavy objects (e.g., laptops and peripherals) up to 25 pounds as needed. Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment with periodic hands-on support at user workstations as needed. Work may involve time-sensitive response to basic support requests and documentation deadlines. Travel None.
