Desktop Support Analyst TEKsystems $25.00 - $31.25 / hr life insurance, sick time, 401(k), retirement plan United States, Jersey, Florham Park Aug 04, 2026
Position Summary We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for end users in a Windows-based enterprise environment. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring timely resolution of technical incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote desktop support for hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Windows PC, laptop, printer, and peripheral-related problems.
- Support Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, and other business-critical software.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop applications, operating systems, and user devices.
- Administer and support Active Directory user accounts, permissions, group memberships, and password resets.
- Troubleshoot Group Policy, Exchange, VPN, and network connectivity issues.
- Set up, deploy, and configure new computers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Respond to and resolve technical support requests through a ticketing system, phone, email, and walk-up support.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and support activities.
- Provide user guidance and technical training as needed. Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of desktop support, help desk, or technical support experience.
- Strong Level 1 and Level 2 troubleshooting experience supporting Windows environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Exchange.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Experience installing and configuring hardware, software, and endpoint devices.
- Strong knowledge of VPN connectivity and remote access support.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Networking Requirements
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience supporting LAN/WAN environments.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting VPN connectivity, internet access issues, and firewall-related problems.
- Ability to identify and resolve common network connectivity and performance issues. Soft Skills
- Strong customer service and end-user support experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to issue resolution. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar platforms.
- Experience with workstation deployments, imaging, and hardware refresh projects.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and cloud-based services.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
