Job Description

About the job We're a small, growing managed IT company (MSP) supporting businesses locally and around the country. We are looking for another tech in the office and in the field — someone hands on who shows up, does the work right, and closes things out. Because we're a small team, you won't be stuck doing one narrow thing. You'll work directly with the owner and our senior techs, see real client environments every day, and learn fast. We've also invested in automation tools that handle a lot of the repetitive ticket work, so your time goes to actual hands-on work. What you'll be doing Setting up and deploying new computers for client offices Onsite work: installing workstations, printers, network equipment, assisting with low-voltage installs. User setups and off-boarding in Microsoft 365 environments.
Site visits:
checking things out, fixing what you find, documenting it.
Bench work in our office:
prepping and staging equipment, repairs. Helping cover phones and dispatch when needed. You'll learn our tools as you go — you'll be working alongside our techs, not left on your own. But this isn't a training program, we need someone who can already handle the basics and pick things up by doing. What we're looking for 1-3 years hands-on IT experience. Helpdesk, field work, bench work — or a serious home lab. We care what you can actually do, not what the resume says. Able to do physical work — lifting equipment, running cable, a ladder here and there. Organized enough that your tickets get documented, closed and don't come back. Professional and comfortable dealing with clients face to face and on the phone. When you don't know something, you'd rather find the right answer than guess. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Able to be onsite daily. This is an in-person job, not remote or hybrid. Nice to have (not required) MSP or multi-client experience Experience using a ticketing system to track and document work CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+ (or working toward one) Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem Where this goes We're growing and promote from within. Depending on where you're strong, this can grow into Tier 2 support, project work, or service coordination. You'll get more variety and responsibility here in a year than most people get in three at a big company. How we hire Short application with a few questions. If we like what we see, we'll ask for a quick video intro before scheduling. In-person interview that includes a hands-on task — we'll have you actually walk through a setup with us. No trick questions, we just want to see how you work. We will move fast, you'll hear back from us either way within days of the interview.
