Employment term is estimated to last 3 to 6 months. Candidates will be based out of our Midland Park, NJ office and will be responsible the majority of onsite work. As an IT Field Technician, you will perform onsite installation and maintenance support on a variety of computer hardware, printers, network gear, and general troubleshooting. This position does require traveling to our clients' locations to perform onsite maintenance. Position would be 60% onsite, 40% in-house. Candidates must have their own means of travel. Most of our clients are within an hour of our Midland Park, NJ office. Travel is reimbursed based on distance. When not traveling to our client's location, candidate will be expected to assist system setups, tier 1 support tickets, project work, as well as other assigned duties Off hours and weekend work may be required, but is minimal. Candidates must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess the ability to find solutions to problems without supervisor intervention. Some of the hardware you will be working with is as follows: Windows Servers Windows PC's / Laptops Cabling Switches Printers Typical Duties Install new PCs Migrate data from old PC to new PC Setup and install printers Setup and install network hardware, such as switches General IT troubleshooting such as connection issues, PC boot up issues, printing issues, etc. Computer peripheral installs Hardware pickup / drop off Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) troubleshooting Additional troubleshooting that can be not done remotely During times not onsite, take level 1 tickets and resolve issues remotely
