Position Summary:

Rutgers School of Health Professions ( SHP ) is seeking Student Assistants to work in the Dean's Office-Administration. The Student Assistants will provide technology set-up and support to faculty in SHP classrooms and conference rooms. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Responsible for managing technology set-up in assigned classrooms. Prior to session - set-up and customize technology settings to meet instructional needs of faculty/presenter. During session - Trouble-shoot during session connecting with SHP Technology staff, as needed. End of session - Return technology set-up to initial settings. Partner with SHP Technology Services staff to get training, report and resolve issues, and ensure all classroom technology is consistently operational. Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Must be a SHP Rutgers student pursuing a degree in a School of Health Profession discipline.

The candidate should have familiarity with technology and/or audiovisual equipment. The candidate should also be comfortable with and have an aptitude for working with tech equipment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The candidate should be able to lift and move equipment, as well as use carts, ladders and related equipment, in a safe manner.

Office environment, moderate noise.
