Role:
Senior IT Support Specialist Job Role Summary:
Under limited supervision, installs, maintains, tests, and repairs systems and networks. Utilizes advanced technical knowledge to plan and lead the implementation of technical solutions. Provides technical leadership and support and resolves problems of a comprehensive and complex nature. Assists management team in determining information system needs assessments. Provides leadership and guidance to, and may supervise, other staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and thrive in an environment working with a team. This is not a remote or hybrid role and requires candidate to work onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintains and manages on-premises and cloud-based systems and networks. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network operation. Develop and maintain Powershell scripting to automate routine tasks and system administration. Knowledge of network security, including implementing and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures. Responsible for critical and high impact services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT-related projects and initiatives. Provide technical support and guidance to end users, assisting with IT-related issues and inquiries. Follows and creates documentation (e.g., instructions, configurations, best practices, service information) Maintains a current level of knowledge for all technologies (e.g., by reading, attending conferences, training, professional communication/networking) Key escalation contact for Tier 1 helpdesk and overflow support. Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people and with varying levels of technical expertise. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Ability to provide leadership and functional direction to other technical support staff. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred. Proven experience as a systems administrator or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Proficient in systems administration tools and monitoring systems, specifically NinjaOne/NinjaRMM, Office365/Azure, and SentinelOne. Software Strong Knowledge of Server Applications (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, etc.) Microsoft Office Strong Knowledge of Azure Infrastructure Knowledge of all current Windows Server Operating systems Knowledge of Router and Switch operations Hardware Practical knowledge of internal components of workstations and servers Networking components Preferred experience creating secure cloud-based infrastructures (3+ years' experience) Comfortable presenting to small working groups Azure networking, firewalls, and various storage solutions. (3+ years' experience)
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay Range:
$75,000-$90,000 annually the starting rate within this range for this role varies depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
