ASAP Assignment is expected to last one year Purpose of the Position The Temporary position will provide operational support to Public School Facilities Authority's IT Department to assist with daily operations, documentation and modernization projects. This is intended to provide additional support capacity for operational and security workloads currently carried by IT management and to assist with, continuity of services while long-term staffing needs are assessed. Scope of Responsibilities 1. Systems and Cloud Administration Support IT management and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams Support endpoint management and configuration using Intune and related tools Assist with identity, lifecycle management, including user provisioning, access reviews, and offboarding Document system configurations, processes, and standards 2. Security and Compliance Support Assist with implementation and maintenance of security controls, including Conditional Access policies Least-privilege access models Support compliance efforts through: Documentation preparation Access audits and reviews Policy implementation and enforcement Assist with vulnerability remediation, patching coordination, and basic security monitoring 3. Infrastructure Stability and Risk Reduction Support backup and recovery processes, verify backup integrity, and assist with disaster recovery readiness Assist with system reliability initiatives to reduce outages and service interruptions Act as secondary coverage for critical systems during absences or high-impact incidents 4. Digital Transformation Support Provide technical support for ongoing modernization projects, including: Cloud migrations Data and SharePoint restructuring Identity and access redesign Coordinate with the Software Developer to ensure infrastructure and security alignment for custom solutions Assist with testing, rollout planning, and post-implementation stabilization 5. Operational Support (Limited and Structured) Serve as escalation support for complex technical issues when required Provide secondary help desk coverage during peak periods or staff absence (not primary duty) Assist IT management in routine operational tasks Deliverables Improved documentation of systems, access controls, and procedures Reduced backlog of security and compliance tasks Stabilized infrastructure with documented recovery processes Operational transition plan identifying: Tasks appropriate for permanent staffing Ongoing risks and mitigation strategies Knowledge transfer to permanent IT staff prior to contract conclusion Expected Outcomes Reduced security and operational risk Improved audit and compliance readiness Increased availability of IT management for governance and planning Greater resilience during staff absences or incidents Clear data to inform long-term staffing decisions Qualifications Education - Minimum associate's degree in computer science. Experience supporting Microsoft 365 -based environments with identity and access management principles Working knowledge of IT security and compliance Strong documentation and communication skills 3 years' experience with Microsoft Azure Experience supporting public-sector, compliance driven, or audit sensitive environments being a plus.
