Job Summary:

M1 Support Services' IT Functional System Administrator Administers and supports enterprise network and desktop

environments, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient operation of all IT systems and peripherals. Responsible for

installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network components,

including user support for desktop systems, printers, and connected devices. Serves as the primary Information Assurance

lead, managing network security protocols, access controls, and compliance requirements in alignment with applicable

United States Department of Defense standards. Provides technical guidance and training to end users while maintaining

system integrity, resolving issues, and supporting continuous improvement of IT operations within a mission-critical

environment.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Integrates, configures, tests, monitors, analyzes, controls, maintains, repairs, and restores T-38 functional
    computer systems to optimize and maintain top performance. Independently capable of intricate
    troubleshooting, diagnostics, installation and repairs of computer systems, peripherals, network cables and
    network devices.
  • Administers and maintains T-38 maintenance functional servers, applications and information systems. Ensures
    functional servers, peripherals communication devices, network cables and operating system/application
    software are properly installed and configured for network operation and are available to customers.
  • Loads software, manages user accounts and permissions, prepares and submits required reports, troubleshoots
    and repairs systems.
  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of the functional applications as well as the network environment,
    associated procedures and analysis techniques.
  • Provides technical solutions for functional system upgrades and new requirements. Monitors systems to ensure
    optimal performance. Apprise management of resource requirements and deficiencies.
  • Assist system users with application use, security requirements, and related problems.
  • Adheres to applicable government directives, base policies and local operating instructions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. Monitors trouble calls and work orders.
  • Capable of performing administrator duties on all network systems in the section. Maintains integrity and
    security of system equipment, software, files, and assists with training managers/technicians.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems or a High School Diploma and IT
    experience.
  • Member must hold a Secret Clearance or above.
  • Member must be Security+ certified at a minimum.
  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of the functional applications as well as the network environment,
    associated procedures and analysis techniques.
  • Provides technical solutions for functional system upgrades and new requirements.
  • 5-10 years of IT technical or networking experience is required
  • Comp TIA A+ certification required
  • Prospective employee must have knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office products specifically
  • Microsoft Access and SharePoint.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Must be able to obtain and retain appropriate security clearance.
  • Possess a valid driver's license
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a combination of office and operational environments, including server rooms, equipment
    closets, and user workspaces
  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, with occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of IT
    equipment (e.g., computers, monitors, printers, networking hardware)
  • May involve installation and maintenance activities in confined spaces, under desks, or in cable management areas
  • Requires handling and organization of network cabling and peripheral equipment
  • May require occasional after-hours, weekend, or on-call support to address system outages or perform
    maintenance
  • Exposure to varying noise levels and temperature conditions, particularly in server or equipment rooms
  • Must adhere to all applicable safety, cybersecurity, and information assurance protocols
