Job Description

Job Summary The IT Support Specialist will provide day-to-day support for employees, maintain hardware and software systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the integrity of our IT environment. This is an entry-to-junior level position ideal for candidates with some hands-on experience, technical certifications, or a passion for IT support. Key Responsibilities Respond to IT help requests via phone, email, or in-person interactions. Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals. Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and network connectivity. Assist with setup and maintenance of email, cloud services, and user accounts (Microsoft 365/Google Workspace). Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and maintain IT work logs. Support the setup of new workstations, including imaging and software installation. Educate users on best practices and IT policies.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or relevant certifications preferred. Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common software applications. Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and customer service skills.
Preferred:
CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar IT certification. Previous internship, part-time IT, or technical support experience. Ability to work independently and escalate complex issues to senior staff. Exposure to Active Directory and remote support tools.
Salary and Benefits Base Salary:
$65,000-$75,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Health insurance, paid time off, retirement plan options, professional development opportunities. Working Conditions Primarily on-site in Jamaica, NY, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. Some flexibility for evening or weekend support may be required. Hands-on troubleshooting and occasional lifting of hardware equipment.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
