Job Description

J.M. Canty is a Process Engineering company with facilities in Lockport, NY and Dublin, Ireland. The company specializes in the manufacture of process lighting, sight glasses, vision-based process control systems, and particles sizing systems for a variety of industries including the Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Glass, Cement, and Mining Industries.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a unique support job as it is constantly evolving and includes hands on use of equipment. When supporting customers, you will be at the front line of new inventions and process control software. You will help improve software and design of equipment with suggestions from customer or your personal experience in helping the customer. You will learn our in-house software and have a hands-on experience in our laboratory. You will need to be able to communicate via email and phone to our customers. You will be trained on our equipment so you can be a vital help to our customers In this position you will need: Flexibility to regularly rotate through different technical specialties and skill sets Ability to assess customers' support needs when they arrive, then provide solutions Ability to thrive on change as products and needs evolve
QUALIFICATIONS
2-4-year degree in Sciences or IT Knowledge of Electrical/Wiring even if it's just DIY (not required but preferred) Must be mechanically inclined Good communication and interpersonal skills Must be organized with attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and work from task list Strong knowledge of computer operating systems and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel Strong problem-solving skills Ability to demonstrate mature judgement and work with minimal supervision Time management skills a must with the ability to make decisions quickly Positive attitude
COMPENSATION
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
BOE Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
