PAY RANGE
: $21 - $25/Hour, Based on Experience
CIVIL SERVICE TITLE
(S) : Microcomputer Maintenance Technician (Non-Competitive)
JOB DESCRIPTION
: Provide internal BOCES and district support for hardware, software, and repair support for computer and AV technologies. Service is provided as a pooled shared resource.
TYPICAL DUTIES
: TROUBLESHOOT, DIAGNOSE, and RESOLVE technical problems. INSTALL new equipment and utility and applications software upgrades. CONDUCT routine systems support (e.g. new users; backups; hard drive management) activities. CONDUCT routine preventive maintenance on equipment. CONDUCT module and component level hardware repairs. PROVIDE training to school staff in basic operations.
MAINTAIN
support and service records. PERFORM related tasks as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
: Must possess or meet requirements for Civil Service title Microcomputer Maintenance Technician.
Education:
Two or more years post-secondary technical education.
Experience:
Microcomputer operations (software Windows, MAC OSX, Google Chrome), Repair (hardware). Network Operations, Customer Service
