FDX is currently seeking a IT Support Technician for our London, OH facility. This position is responsble for providing reliable day-to-day information technology and operational technology support across the plant, supporting users, production systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and the supply base through actions assigned by the
Manager Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain desktops, network, wireless, phone and PLC hardware
  • Monitor and maintain
ERP, MES, EDI
services
  • Create reports, applications and HMIs needed for management
  • Follows plant Environmental, Health & Safety, and Ergonomic guidelines
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to end users, both remotely and on-site, resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
  • Manage and support user accounts, permissions, and access controls across Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other platforms
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of employees, including equipment setup and access provisioning
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers as needed
  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the
ISO 27001
Information Security Management System (ISMS)
  • Assist with internal audits, risk assessments, and the preparation of documentation required for
ISO 27001
compliance
  • Help ensure controls are in place and operate effectively in alignment with
ISO 27001
Annex A requirements
  • Administer endpoint security, operating system and application patching, antivirus/EDR, multi-factor authentication, and other cybersecurity controls in accordance with company standards
  • Support firewalls, switches, wireless infrastructure, VPN connectivity, network segmentation, and secure connectivity between business and plant-floor systems
  • Maintain IT asset inventories, software licensing records, hardware lifecycle information, and assigned equipment documentation
  • Perform and verify data backup processes and support disaster recovery and business continuity testing for critical systems
  • Document system configurations, network diagrams, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and changes to IT and operational technology environments
  • Support cybersecurity incident response, including identification, containment, documentation, escalation, and recovery activities as directed by management
  • Perform periodic user access reviews and support least-privilege access, account lifecycle controls, and segregation of duties for critical systems
  • Coordinate planned system changes, upgrades, maintenance windows, and production-impacting IT activities with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and other affected departments
  • Support secure integration and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, MES, ERP, EDI, printers, scanners, and other production-connected devices while following approved change-control practices
  • Track support requests and recurring issues through the approved ticketing system, maintaining accurate resolution notes and escalating unresolved issues as required
  • Assist with security awareness, acceptable-use, phishing prevention, and other user training activities required by company policy or the ISMS

Education Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivelant experience Experience Two or more years of hands-on IT support, systems administration, network support, or related technical experience; experience in a Manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Skills Proficient in administering Microsoft operating systems and databases Proficient in SQL, ladder logic programming (for PLC's), EDI (for electronic communications with customers) Ability to troubleshoot issues with systems in the plant Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience with Freshservice ticketing system Experience with Ignition SCADA system Proficient in
PLEX ERP
system Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switching, wireless networks, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting Working knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals including patch management, endpoint protection, MFA, access control, backups, and incident response Ability to document technical procedures, system configurations, changes, and corrective actions clearly and accurately Experience supporting manufacturing or operational technology environments preferred Familiarity with
ISO 27001
standards and experience supporting ISMS implementation or audits Physical Demands Normal amount of sitting or standing average mobility to move around office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer, may require travel
