231257 Job Description Support "best practice" implementation and maintenance of Cintas' Information Security controls and procedures. This role researches, recommends and implements changes to enhance information systems security and monitoring capabilities. The IT Security Engineer will work collaboratively with various Cintas partners to design, build, and deploy security frameworks.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Identify gaps between existing controls and Cintas' IT security roadmap. Engineer the solutions (processes, technologies) to mitigate the control gaps. Present proposed solutions to IT management. Coordinate with vendors for proof-of-concept, proof-of-value, and pilot exercises. Review information systems to identify potential security weaknesses, recommend improvements to amend vulnerabilities and implement changes and document upgrades. Take part of on-call rotation to triage any potential security incidents. Participating in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies. Maintains and grows knowledge and understanding of information security, risk management and regulatory compliance topics. Provides occasional after hours and weekend support work for project efforts. Act as a mentor for junior engineers. Skills/QualificationsREQUIRED
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT area is preferred. Industry certifications preferred (e.g. Security+). Hands-on experience with offensive security tools (e.g. Kali, Metasploit, Burp, etc.) required. Minimum of 7 years experience in Information Technology. Minimum of 4 years overall in Information Security is preferred. Strong knowledge of cyber security practices and procedures. Strong knowledge of networking and infrastructure best practices.
