This is consistent work in a safe environment. The schedule is Monday - Friday, normal business hours with overtime as needed. Technical Support Specialist Perks and Benefits Full Health Benefits 401(k) PTO Live and Play in Central Oregon Position Summary Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for heavy industrial cutting machinery, motion-control systems, and metal fabrication equipment. This is a high-growth role with opportunities for future field service travel (50-75%) once fully trained. What You'll Do Walk customers through remote troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, and software issues over phone and email. Guide shop techs through component isolation using multimeters, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Diagnose failures in motors, drives, relays, sensors, power supplies, gearboxes, and gantry assemblies. Help with machine setup, calibration, and basic controller/CAD/CAM software support. Document support calls, order replacement parts, and handle warranty processing. Qualifications & Requirements 2+ years of hands-on troubleshooting (machining, industrial maintenance, diesel/auto repair, welding gear, or military tech trades). Proven ability to read electrical schematics and use multimeters and hand tools. Solid understanding of control circuits, relays, switches, sensors, motors, and fuses. Strong problem-solving skills and clear, direct communication. High school diploma or GED required; technical cert preferred.
Supervision:
This position has supervision. The employee will meet periodically as needed with their supervisor to go over pertinent goals and assignments. The employee does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Basic Working Conditions:
The employee must have their own method of dependable transportation and work full time during normal business hours Monday through Friday. Overtime and work on weekends may be needed. The employee must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. The employee will be required to have the ability to stoop, kneel and handle objects for filing.
