JOB SUMMARY
The ITS Help Desk Specialist serves as the first point of contact for physicians, clinic and hospital staff in need of technical assistance. This position is responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network and peripheral issues via phone, email, remote access or in person. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with excellent communication skills, capable of prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, professional healthcare environment. The role is critical in supporting daily operations and maintaining continuity of care through reliable IT systems.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide first-level support for computer hardware, software, network, printer and peripheral issues Troubleshoot and resolve problems using remote desktop tools or in-person assistance Respond to helpdesk tickets and document issues and solutions in the tracking system Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate ITS personnel when necessary Set up, configure and install workstations, printers, phones and related equipment Educate users on proper use of technology tools and software applications Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive hospital data and systems Assist with system upgrades, software rollouts and departmental IT projects Participate in on-call rotation or after-hours support as required Continuously expand knowledge in a complex healthcare IT environment If you're a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for customer service and supporting critical healthcare technology, we'd love to hear from you! QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in IT support or a related technical role, preferably in a healthcare setting Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively support users with varying levels of technical knowledge Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members and departments Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, basic networking and common software applications Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems and remote support tools preferred Demonstrated professionalism, discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times Passion for providing compassionate customer service across diverse populations Ability to meet the physical and functional requirements outlined in the job description High School Diploma or equivalent required Must successfully pass a criminal background check and reference checks
